Important Information about Counterfeits
Unfortunately, as our distribution and the world as a whole has grown, we have seen an increasing number of our products being copied by other companies and sold on the internet.
Bumkins products are made with high-quality materials and undergo third-party safety testing to ensure they adhere to safety standards listed in the CPSIA and set forth by the FDA. These fake Bumkins products may look like our products, but often fall short in quality and safety.
Knock-off products copy the shape or design of our products, but are sold under a different brand name. Counterfeit products actually use the Bumkins name and/or logo. The sellers of these fake Bumkins products go so far as to use our images, videos and content, so it can be difficult for consumers to tell the difference.
So how does a consumer know if they are getting a fake product? Fake products may:
- Be sold on marketplaces other than Amazon
- Be advertised on social media from accounts other than Bumkins
- Have a drastically reduced price
- Arrive without packaging or labels
While we are working with an agency to combat these fakes, new ones continually pop up. It’s like playing a frustrating, not-fun game of whack-a-mole.
The safest way to shop online is to buy from a trusted website or the brand itself.
