Over the last 30 years, we have worked to ensure that the products we create reach the most vulnerable both in our community and beyond. B.Kind is focused on four major areas that support our mission:
Did You Know?
One-third of families unable to afford household goods report bathing without soap (33%) or reusing diapers (32%) in order to get by without these basic necessities. Source: www.feedingamerica.org/research/in-short-supply/in-short-supply-executive.pdf
Disposable diapers are the 3rd largest consumer item in landfills, and represent 30% of non-biodegradable waste. The only other items that outnumber the amount of disposables in landfills are newspapers and beverage and food containers. Source: Link, Ann. Disposable nappies: a case study in waste prevention. Nourished children result from healthy eating and safe feeding practices. B.Kind supports schools, community groups and health educators who focus their efforts on providing education and assistance to parents and families.
In partnership with Zoolikins and local nonprofit organizations that support moms, we host free parenting support classes that provide education on breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and baby-wearing. The holistic support offered in these classes empower new moms during their parenting journey.
Since starting Bumkins in 1989, environmental consciousness has been at the forefront of our product design. We strive to create sustainable reusable baby products free from harmful chemicals and filling materials.
Expanding on this vision is our commitment to minimizing waste. Through B.Kind, unused materials and raw goods are donated to organizations that repurpose it into blankets, quilts, and hygiene necessities. Items are given to children in foster care and families experiencing homelessness in the greater Phoenix area.
Supporting Underserved Communities
B.Kind makes product donations to mission-driven organizations both in our home of Phoenix and throughout the globe. Products donated help support children within the foster and shelter system, babies impacted by HIV, youth enrichment programs, and nutritionists who work to improve feeding practices in orphanages.

Creating community and designing a space for conversation is important to us. Throughout the year we host panels with community leaders and friends. These dialogues center around social issues and provide opportunities for mothers to share their voices on topics like gender inclusivity and equality. Proceeds from these events directly benefit organizations that support MOMS.
