SAVE THE DATE!
Happy Birthday
to Dr. Seuss - March 2nd.
Read Accross America Day is March 3rd!
It's never too early to read with your child!
- Young children like to be read to, but they especially like stories that rhyme.
- As babies learn to grasp things, pick light cloth books.Choose board books with simple, bright pictures.
- As babies become interested in what's inside a book, pick those with pictures of animals, babies, and familiar objects.
- As babies begin to do activities by themselves, read simple stories about routine events:eating, taking a bath, or going to bed.
- As babies learn to talk, read books that invite them to repeat rhymes, words, and phrases.
- When older babies want to join in, read books with textures and things to touch.
The Theodore Seuss Geisel Award is given annually to the author(s) and illustrator(s) of the most distinguished contribution to the body of American children’s literature known as beginning reader books published in the United States.

Bumkins to Report to Who-ville
“A person’s a person, no matter how small!” In celebration of the release of Twentieth Century Fox’s CG animated feature film DR. SEUSS’ HORTON HEARS A WHO! on 14 March 2008 (USA), Bumkins Finer Baby Products is announcing its HORTON HEARS A WHO! Contest for a chance to win a family four pack of movie tickets along with a Dr. Seuss-themed gift basket.
With the new film, the makers of ICE AGE and comedy giants Jim Carrey (who voices Horton) and Steve Carell (voicing the Mayor of Who-ville) bring Dr. Seuss’ magic to life in a way never before experienced. For the first time, a motion picture transports audiences into Dr. Seuss’ incredible imagination, through state-of-the-art CG animation. DR. SEUSS’ HORTON HEARS A WHO! is Seuss as you want to experience his work at the movies – and as it was meant to be seen.
Along with an impressive list of official Dr. Seuss licensees, Bumkins is celebrating the theatrical debut of their favorite resident elephant with a contest that’s open to anybody who visits bumkins.com. “No matter how small!” The winner takes home a family four pack of movie tickets to a screening in the winner’s hometown and a customized Dr. Seuss gift basket that any family would enjoy. Starting February 26, enter in Bumkins’ HORTON HEARS A WHO! Contest. |
